South Marston Pre-school was created to provide high quality pre-school education for children who live within South Marston and the surrounding area. The Pre-school is managed by the school and the Academy Council. The EYFS leader has overall responsibility for both the Pre-school and the Reception class. Transition between the two is extremely strong as the children are already familiar with the school and take part in Friday’s Celebration Assembly. We also have close links with the village church.
The Pre-School benefits from spacious accommodation, both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor area has recently been enhanced to include a 'wild area' which is excellent in developing children’s learning. The children enjoy using the latest interactive board in their classroom. We also share many resources with the Reception class and plan trips to interesting places together.
The Pre-school follows The Early Years Foundation Stage setting the standards for Learning, Development and Care for children. Each child will be allocated a key person who will link with the family to support and plan for the child's progress within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
The children bring home weekly reading books for parents to share and enjoy with their children. All information, details and policies are contained in the Parents Information Folders, which are stored outside the classroom.
Whilst South Marston Pre-school is part of South Marston C of E Primary School, no preferential treatment regarding admissions to the school is conferred on students attending the Pre-school.
For admission to the Pre-school please contact the school directly. For admission to Reception, please contact Swindon School Admissions.
